Can You Talk? 你会说话吗？ is originally written in Italian by Giovanna Mantegazza and illustrated by Giulia Orecchia. This is the Chinese translated version. It is a board book, with simplified Chinese and accompanying hanyu pinyin.
The book is written to introduce the sounds that animals make. The narrator asks "Can you talk?" and the animal responds with the sound that they make. These little animals include owl, mouse, dog, fish, snake, etc.
Children can learn about the names and sounds that various animals make. Illustration are attractive and given that it is a board book, parents do not have to worry about torn pages. This is an ideal first book for your young kid.For children who is above 1 year old, one suggested game that parents can play with their child is to reverse the process - by making the sound and letting the child guess the name of the animal on the next page. This is a book that is fun and interactive.
We would recommend this book for children who are 9 months and above.
