Personal Development for Kids 幼儿自我管理故事丛书 comes in 8 picture books in a set. Written by a Chinese author, Liu Tian Yi (刘天一), these books aim to address various aspects of growing up.
As our child starts their pre-school stage, they are no longer babies who rely solely on parents/caregiver for everything. At this stage, parents can explain to the child certain aspects of their development that are expected at this stage. For instance, parents can teach their child that it is important to learn to take care of themselves, such as wearing their own clothes, taking care of their own things, not throwing tantrum whenever things do not go their way, having confidence to try new things, etc.
This set of books cover some of these key themes and the message is clear and straightforward. After reading the story to your child, parents can reinforce the key message through post-reading discussion / explanation.
Written in simplifed Chinese with no hanyu pinyin. There are about 2-3 sentences per page, with about 20+ pages per book. For reading to the children, we would recommend these books for children who are 3+ onwards. For self-read, we would recommend these books for children who are 7 years up.
A different message is shared in each title.
