The Artist Who Painted A Blue Horse is a picture book written and illustrated by the award-winning author Eric Carle.
A very simple book that starts with "I am an artist. I draw a ...blue horse... and a .... red crocodile." and so on.
There is no storyline to this book. The key message is to our little reader is - there is an artist in all of us. Parents can use the illustration in the book to get the kid to draw and express themselves through colours.
We think there could also be a deeper meaning to the story for the older reader - each of us is an artist in our own right, our lives depends on what we choose to make out of it.
The language used is really simple. For plain reading, this book may suit children of 3 years old and above. To discuss the concept of the book beyond the language, we would recommend this book for 7 years and above.
